Proposition 8
Today I stood on a corner and held up a sign for "Yes on 8" For those who are unaware: Proposition 8 would add a line to the Constitution of the United States: Marriage will be between a man and woman. I thought that we had resolved this issue several years ago with Proposition 22. However, judges thought that the people were unfair and are making homosexuals a "special interest group." The ramifications of this are extraordinary. I could be considered a "bigot" because I don't believe that homosexuals should marry. I have nothing against people who choose that lifestyle. I do disagree with the lifestyle. That is my belief, but if I am required by law to accept it, that goes against my beliefs (and separation of church and state). Today I learned people think we are promoting hate, that we are bigots and we want "fags to die." These are words "they" (people against Proposition 8) are using. I would never refer to homosexuals like that. I know people who are gay. So I guess what I am saying is that people need to be more informed on what Proposition 8 is for and not ignorantly call names. More information on Propostion 8: protectmarriage.org

Do you know if marriage was originally a religious concept or a social institution?? (You'd think I would have gotten this answered before I graduated with a degree in MFHD huh!)
It's fun to look at your blog! I hope that all is well with you guys!
